You think the Raps could get a hand in the face of the shooters, but when NO nails 15 threes, something has gone wrong.
I was trying to think what happened at the last game between these two teams. Then I remember I had come up with a clever headline for the game recap titled “Ring Around the Posey, With a Pocketful of Six Threes.” You’d think the Raps would have reviewed that tape.
Anyhow on to the game, Triano had to go with another lineup change tonight with Calderon, Parker, Graham, Bargnani and O’Neal
Chris Bosh was out, Chris Paul was out, Tyson Chandler out, MoPete out and Jose Calderon was back in, so it was going to be an interesting matchup. After a slow, sluggish quarter, theHornets gotan early lead 26-16. The Raps made a run in the second sparked by a Jamario Moon jam. Jose Calderon got it going hitting the jumper to make it a six point game after trailing by as much as 14. The Raptors got hot, went on an 18-5 runas Jose Calderon hit another J to get up by one. Andrea nailed a three to top off the 22-5 run.Calderon had 13 points in the second quarter as Toronto’s Zone D caused the New Orleans Hornets to slump.
The third had the Raptors move the ball well, Calderon nailed the trey to get up eleven onthe Hornets. The Hornets started to get it together, Peja hit a three and with the Hornets down five Rasual Butler had this HUGE dunk:

Peja again nailed ANOTHER three to get within two. And who showed up? Jamario Moon, he nailed back to back to back jumpers. Raps led 69-64 after three.
The fourth quarter? You read it at the beginning.
The New Orleans got hot and nailed three after three after three outscoring the Raptors 37-23. Peja, Rasual Butler, Devin Brown helped hit the Hornet’s nine threes in the fourth. J.O. looked good in the fourth taking advantage of Sean Marks but the wheels just fell off in the fourth quarter for the Raps defensively. Hornets won 101-92.
Key Notes:
Jermaine O’Neal had 24 pts, 6 boards for the Raps
Jamario Moon had decent game off of the bench with 10 pts and 7 boards
The New Orleans Hornets nailed a franchise high, 15 threes
Peja led the way for the Hornets with 7 threes and 28 points
David West had a double double with 17 and 10
