Tonight, at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C., the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Washington Wizards 103-90 and swept the home and home.
SF Andre Iguodala had a big game tonight and as always, stuffed the stat sheet. Iguodala scored 23 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, dished out 5 assists, and had 5 steals. Off the bench, PG Lou Williams had a big game as well. In 26 minutes off the bench, Lou Williams scored 24 points and was 4 for 6 from three point range.
The Wizards put up a better effort tonight vs. the Sixers and it showed. SG Nick Young, C JaVale McGee, and PG John Wall were all in double figures. Wall had 19 points, 9 assists, and 9 rebounds. Young had 27 points and 7 rebounds. Finally, McGee had 23 points and 18 rebounds. Overall, it was a better performance out of the Wizards starting lineup.
The Sixers are now (9-3) and don’t play until Monday, which is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On Monday, the Sixers will take on the (4-7) Milwaukee Bucks at 2:00 PM at the Wells Fargo Center.
