Just like Game 1, this game between the Sixers and Celtics came down to the fourth quarter and a one point difference. The Sixers defeated the Celtics 82-81 in Game 2. It was a tightly contested game throughout, but the Sixers took control in the third quarter but the Celtics did not die. The Celtics kept it close and got huge three pointers from Avery Bradley and Ray Allen but the Sixers came back with their own three pointer. Jrue Holiday hit one after Avery Bradley made his three pointer.

Then with the Sixers being down 75-74, Evan Turner contorted his body through the lane and made a layup to give the Sixers a 76-75 lead. From there, the Sixers made their free throws down the stretch to close out and win the game, which good teams do! The Sixers got a huge game from rookie PF Lavoy Allen, who had 10 points but 8 rebounds. You would never suspect that from a 2nd round pick but he came out and performed and even hit an off balanced jumper as the shot clock expired in the fourth quarter.

Finally, the Sixers played tremendous defense on Paul Pierce, who went 2 for 9 with 7 points and Rajon Rondo, who went 4 for 12 with 8 points. The Sixers defense held the Celtics offense to only 41.8 percent shooting from the field. Game 3 is tomorrow night at 7pm at the Wells Fargo Center and it can be seen on TNT.
