Today, the Red Sox dealt former all star corner infielder Kevin Youkilis to the White Sox for some spare parts, because above all else, Kenny Williams doesn’t enjoy having young players on his team. That makes sense for the Southsiders.
What struck me, however, about the Boston side of the trade was that they wanted to get Will Middlebrooks more at bats. My question, then, is when did the former Minnesota Gophers and Denver Broncos cornerback start playing baseball? And he was better than Kevin Youkilis? What an incredible athlete.
