PLAY-BY-PLAY: (via Sherdog)
Round 1: Krantz comes forward, moving Koreshkov backward toward the cage, but the Russian backs him off with a flurry of hooks. Koreshkov charges with a lunging knee, holds a long stance to keep Krantz at range and then pushes him even further off with a spinning back-kick. Krantz tries to get inside to tie up, can’t get it on the first try but grabs his man on the second attempt. Krantz lands a few knees to the body before being reversed. He quickly turns Koreshkov back around and they trade knees inside as they pummel for position. Krantz has Koreshkov’s right leg in the air on a single-leg try but Koreshkov has underhooks and he defends the takedown. Good knee up the middle from Kratz but Koreshkov doesn’t like it and punishes him with a hard, short elbow inside. Koreshkov denies another single-leg try and they move along the fence. He explodes with a series of knees and slips, pulling Krantz into his guard as he falls. Krantz scrambles and tries to take Koreshkov’s back as the Russian works to back up. Krantz secures the back with one minute left in the round and sinks in his hooks, then begins hunting for the rear-naked choke. Koreshkov twists around and Krantz tries an armbar, but Koreshkov is loose. Knees and a hard body kick go for Koreshkov but he gets tied up on a throw in the closing seconds and absorbs some ground-and-pound punches from Krantz.

Round 2: Krantz wants to clinch up again early in the second but Koreshkov turns him away and punishes with a hard uppercut and hooks. Krantz dives at a single-leg 20 seconds later and has that stuffed as well. He holds a waistlock and Koreshkov walks him toward the cage, kneeing along the way. Koreshkov is twice warned by ref Myron Gaudet not to hold Krantz’ shorts as they walk along, trading knees. Krantz gets on the outside and throws knees to Koreshkov’s legs. Koreshkov breaks off with a hard right hand, comes forward with an uppercut-hook combo. A jumping knee scores for Koreshkov and he clinches up behind it. Koreshkov gets the Thai plum and Krantz drops to his knees to avoid any taking knee strikes to the head. Koreshkov throws one to the body and then presses Krantz into the cage again when he stands back up. Koreshkov lands a short elbow inside, has a knee to the body go off Krantz’s forearm. Forty seconds left and Krantz turns the situation. He manages a couple knees before Koreshkov trips him to the ground. Koreshkov gets to side control and starts dropping punches just before the bell.

Round 3: Koreshkov is stringing together combos and kicks nicely as the final frame begins. They don’t appear to be troubling Krantz at first, but after a five- or six-punch combo of straights and hooks, the American is on the run. Koreshkov gives chase, wailing away with punches as Krantz struggles to stay on his feet. Finally, Koreshkov corners Krantz against the fence. Krantz leans forward after a two-piece combo connects and Koreshkov blasts his low-hanging head with a big knee. That’s the final straw and Krantz goes down in a heap. Referee Gaudet waves it off after 51 seconds of round three and Andrey Koreshkov keeps his perfect record intact.

Round 1: Gustafsson knocked Rua down with a right hook in the opening 30 seconds, but Rua countered with a heel hook and a kneebar attempt on the ground. Rua stood and Gustafsson landed strikes in the clinch. He briefly took Rua down, but stood and allowed him to follow. Rua landed a counter right and took Gustafsson down. Gustafsson stood and Rua landed knees while holding him against the fence. Gustafsson turned into the clinch and created space with knees and an uppercut. Another hard knee scored for Gustafsson and he followed with a looping right hook. Gustafsson looked for a takedown and Rua countered with a front headlock. The fighters stayed on their feet and Gustafsson pinned Rua against the cage again. He pushed Rua away just before the bell sounded.

Round 2: Both fighters connected with some solid punches in the second round and Rua appeared to be looking to pick up the pace. He lunged in with a right hook that partially landed, but Gustafsson tripped him to a knee. Rua stood and referee Dan Miragliotta separated the fighters after a stalemate. Gustafsson nearly threw Rua to the mat, but Rua stayed up. Gustafsson took Rua down on his next try and punched from the top. He stood and Rua followed. Rua landed two hard right hooks and Gustafsson took him down again. Rua got to his feet and Gustafsson took him back down. On the way up, Gustafsson landed knees and an uppercut. Rua managed to land a one-two, but Gustafsson answered with a combination.

Round 3: Rua landed a big right hand in round three, but Gustafsson walked right through it and landed a knee. He took Rua down twice and moved to back control. Rua rolled for a kneebar and Gustafsson wound up in Rua’s guard. The fighters stood and both landed punches. Gustafsson took Rua down and landed an elbow. He got back to his feet and hurt Rua with a body kick. Rua circled away to buy time to recover and Gustafsson hurt him again with a knee and a combination. The fighters clinched and exchanged knees to the body. After a break, Gustafsson landed a front kick to the face and he continued to chase Rua around the cage. The fight ended with a takedown from Gustafsson, who wound up on top in Rua’s half-guard.
