Being fortunate enough to have Tuesdays off, I was on Twitter today (as usual) as Paul Pierce took us all down memory lane. He hadn’t tweeted anything in regards to “the trade” yet, and then he came out with this tweet late this afternoon:

What followed was simply beautiful. Paul Pierce tweeting out picture after great picture of his time spent in Boston. A truly heartfelt and genuine thank you to the millions of fans around the world, and of course those right here in Boston that have supported him through 15 seasons in green. Truth included the hashtag “#THANKYOUBOSTON” on each and every picture. As much as I know it was time for a new era, I’m still devastated that Pierce will be suiting-up for another team, in another city next season. But I wish him nothing but the best, and would love to see him get another NBA title before he retires.
