The Week in Review

Sweets The final week of preseason basketball is finally behind us (which means no more poems by John). The Celtics said goodbye to Mike Sweetney and hello to Ty Lue.

They destroyed the Cavs (and a feisty Mo Williams) in their final tune-up, and LeBron expects more of the same in the regular season opener.

Sick of questions about his knee, Kevin Garnett told the media to shut up and have a beer. Don't worry guys, he should be less cranky this year once he starts getting extra sleep.

Rondo As the deadline nears to sign Rondo to an extension, a report surfaced that it likely won't happen. We made the case for signing him now and/or later.

Al Horford made waves when he said Paul Pierce lost $10K during on on-court bet, but then said it was all a joke. What's even funnier? Perk says he learned from Kwame Brown.

KGSI Bill Simmons unleased his massive NBA preview. There's some negativity towards the Celtics. On the other hand, Sports Illustrated really likes the C's this year.

John played journalist and talked with Jon Barry and Jalen Rose. And my wife made a guest appearance on The 2 Man Game. (It went something like this – "Chuck – Get your a$$ over here, play time is over.)

We learned that Magic Johnson hates Isiah Thomas, and Michael Jordan is an a-hole (according to one rapper).

Thanks to everyone who joined our fantasy leagues. I apologize if you were shut out.
