You’ve got a job. Maybe kids. Maybe school. And 1,000 other things to worry about – it’s hard keeping up with all the stories coming from practice baseball camp in Florida.

We’re here to help. Let’s take a look at the news that made news this past week that was in Cardinals spring training.

Story: Adam Wainwright pitched.

#HOTTake: And he was good. And he said this:

Story: The 5th starter role is heading to the final stretch.

#HOTTake: Looks like Carlos is shaping up to be the odd man out of the rotation. Again. Garcia can’t go to the pen and Gonzales can go to AAA and start until a need for his services arises. With less than 2 weeks left in camp, the race is almost over and it looks like Garcia will take the job.

Story: Have the Cardinals unearthed their Jorge Soler?

#HOTTake: Soler does two things really well – hitting moonshots and striking out. And now the Cardinals seem to have discovered their own Soler power source: Rowan Wick. Based on name alone, he needs to be on the Cardinals 25-man roster ASAP.

Story: Jon Jay got a new haircut.

#HOTTake: Whoa. The Shumpert? Going to need a little bit more time with it, but I think I like. Also, when the haircuts are making news, it’s about time for some real baseball.
