The Week That Was In Cardinals Spring Training

The news is coming fast and furious from Jupiter, Florida.

Why don’t we take a look at the news that made news this past week in Cardinals baseball.

Story: Kozma is going to catch.

#HOTTake: I wonder if Peter dreams about being a 5M/yr SS in a place like Houston or Minnesota when he goes to bed at night. You know, where he can just play ball be left alone. Poor guy is the Milton of the Cardinals.

Story: Heyward is banned from the lead-off spot.

#HOTTake: You know, because it’s best to make definitive declarations about the upcoming season before everyone has actually reported. Hopefully this will be updated in the soft cover version of ‘The Matheny Manifesto’.

Story: David Bell is wearing Big Mac’s number.

#HOTTake: Ya burnt, Mac! With the HoF not putting anyone that tasted the juice in their museum for at least another generation, it’s time to trot out the #25 again. Probably didn’t help he deuced out for LA the second his image was stable again and he was hirable by everyone, not just the Cardinals.

Story: Yadi is the new Giuliana Rancic.

#HOTTake: You think it’s because he wants to stay healthy and play as many games as possible in ’15 and beyond? Please. Yadi is next level. This is just a cog in his master plan to do something that us rubes can’t even see right now, let alone piece the long play together. He’s that good.

Story: Sponsor of Blackhawks does deal with Cardinals.

#HOTTake: Not one physical therapy shop in STL could step up and stretch the runners out after the race? Is physical therapy still something that St. Louis has?
