The Wild are known to be interested in Zach Parise and Ryan Suter, the top two free agents on the market. They need to score some serious goals, and Parise and Suter would certainly help that department. Other than that, the free agent market is fairly thin, so the Wild would be well served by pumping all their resources into those two players.
Naturally, they re-signed backup goalie Josh Harding this morning. Wait, what? This was clearly a move for the future since Nicklas Backstrom is getting on in years (at 35) so he will likely eventually take over there, so I guess it makes sense in that regard. But with the offseason dedicated to augmenting the offense, or so it seemed, this was certainly a strange move on the surface.
If you want to read more about who I predicted the Wild would eventually add in the offseason, I mentioned that in this post at Ice Insiders yesterday.
