The Young Bucks Reveal Their ‘G1 Supercard’ Status After Top Elite Members Turn Down Huge WWE Deals

While the futures of Elite members including Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are still up in the air as 2018 draws to a close, more information has surfaced regarding where certain members might end up.

It was recently reported that “The Villain” Marty Scurll has decided to remain with Ring of Honor, a move which could see him separate from The Elite pack should the rest of the faction decide to sign elsewhere.

One of the major events coming up for ROH in 2019 is the G1 Supercard being held, for the first time ever, at the famed Madison Square Garden venue in New York City.

Two names we can officially cross off the list as appearing at G1 Supercard are The Young Bucks, Nick and Matt Jackson, as Matt recently responded to a fan on Twitter with, “we will not be [at MSG], but I encourage everyone to still go. It’s a historic night for wrestling.”

In related news, the most recent issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that three members of The Elite just recently turned down “seven figure offers” from WWE.

While the specific talent names were not revealed in The Observer report, they appear to be Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks, as Rhodes recently acknowledged publicly that he turned down a return offer from WWE. With Hangman Page having turned down a WWE offer months ago, Marty Scurll remaining with ROH and Kenny Omega unable to entertain any type of contract offers until his NJPW deal expires in January 2019, it’s most likely that it was The Bucks who refused the WWE deal along with Cody.

While it appears as if The Bucks will not be headed to WWE anytime soon, the duo continues to express interest in facing currently contracted WWE talents, as Matt Jackson recently Tweeted, “one day we’ll wrestle The Revival & everyone will rejoice. Remember this tweet.”
