On April 26, 1976 the California Angels would lose to the Milwaukee Brewers 1-0 at County Stadium in Milwaukee. Frank Tanana would pitch 8 innings, allowing 1 run on two hits while striking out 12. Tanana came to the Angels as their number one draft pick in 1971. 1976 would be the first year Tanana was selected to the All-Star team as a member of the Angels when he won 19 games with a 2.43 ERA and pitching 23 complete games. That year he would also set the Angels single season low for WHIP at 0.988.
