On May 3, 1992 the Angels would rally with 3 runs in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the Cleveland Indians 6-3 in Cleveland. Scott Bailes would get the win in relief of Chuck Finley and Bryan Harvey would pick up the save. Even though the Angels won the game it would not go so well for catcher Lance Parrish. Cleveland would steal 7 bases off him in the game, 5 by seldom used Alex Cole and 2 by Mark Whitten. The 7 steals tied the most by an Angel opponent in a game, also done in 1975. 1992 would be Parrish’s last year with the Angels after coming over in a trade from Philadelphia before the 1989 season. Parrish had his best year for the Angels in 1990 when he hit 24 home runs and drove in 70 and would be his last year selected to the All-Star game.
