This is a mismatch

For the Phillies, Cliff Lee is on the mound. For the Pirates, Pedro Ciriaco and Matt Diaz are batting first and second and Brandon Wood is playing first base. James McDonald and the bullpen have their work cut out for them tonight if they’re planning on keeping the Pirates in this game. 

There’s not much news for the Pirates on the trade front this afternoon, except that Jon Morosi’s reporting that the Pirates and A’s are talking again. That was probably predictable at this point; most of the other players the Pirates were interested in are headed other places for much, much more than the Pirates would or should be willing to pay for them and so it’s probably time for Huntington to move to his fallback plans.
