Kris Bryant is currently leading the Majors in home runs and All-Star votes, so it’s no coincidence that he’s also the league leader when it comes to 15-foot high murals of his face on the side of buildings.
But that’s exactly what’s currently going on in Chicago.
The Cubs super sophomore recently saw firsthand a larger than life representation of himself on the wall the HVAC Pub in Wrigleyville. And to say he was impressed would be an understatement.
“As young as I am, I don’t know if I deserve this quite yet. It’s really an honor,” the 2015 National League Rookie of the Year said. “I saw pictures of it, and I couldn’t really see the colors, but standing here, it’s crazy. I think he made me a little more jacked than I really am.”
All in all, it took street artists Hebru Brantley and Max Sinsing five days to complete the 3000 square-foot wallscape.
