At around 10:45 pm, word of a crash initially involving Jason Thompson reached media in the press room after a fan tweeted details to Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee. Cowbell Kingdom reached Thompson for comment before he took to Twitter to quell any concern that he was involved the collision. Tweets then started trickling in that it was Robinson, not Thompson, who crashed his car.
