1991 NBA Playoffs: Kevin McHale and Larry Bird

The year was 1991, and the Boston Celtics were on the cusp of major changes. Larry Bird, Robert Parish and Kevin McHale were all in the twilight of their prolific careers, and newcomer Reggie Lewis was getting ready to take the torch.

For the Spurs, youngsters David Robinson, Avery Johnson & Sean Elliot were giving fans reason to be excited. The teams met in Boston on March 1st, and behind Bird’s 29 points, Boston got their 42nd win of the season. Check out the highlights below via sheba021.
