It was Superbowl Sunday in 1986 and it was hours before the Patriots were about to get blasted by the Bears. During a matinée game at the Garden, the Celtics and Sixers battled in a close game featuring Larry Bird at his zenith, Bill Walton during his revival, Dr. J and Moses at the end, Charles Barkley at the beginning and a lot of other great players. The C’s would eventually win 105-103, but they needed a huge comeback to do it. Keep in mind this team only lost one home game all season (vs Portland). Bird drills a jump shot from half court at the buzzer, and Dr. J posterizes Walton in the first half. Good stuff here, enjoy.
