Today is Day 1 of the US Open at Oakmont. There have been a lot of articles about NBC’s Johnny Miller who shot a 63 at Oakmont when the US Open was there in 1973. But time to look at the links for today and there are a lot of them.
Already, the networks of NBC Universal carried the first shot of the US Open (USA, CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo and SciFi Channel) at 8 a.m. ET today. ESPN then picks up coverage at 10 a.m., giving way to NBC at 3 p.m., going back to the Worldwide Leader at 5 p.m. Both DirecTV and Dish Network have multiple channels devoted to the golf today and tomorrow.
