- In a move that could have huge implications on LeBron’s decision-making process, the Cleveland Cavaliers will make Byron Scott their new head coach. If/when James bolts from Ohio, Scott has a pedigree of rebuilding teams from his time in New Orleans.
- We’ve only been at it for 9+ hours and we already have our first surprise of the NBA free agency period: Spurs F Richard Jefferson opted out of his $15.2 million contract to search for a long-term deal. Only God knows why he pulled this one; we all think it’s a dumb move.

The Lions have decided that trading for Albert Haynesworth isn’t worth the end result and have stopped discussing the matter with the Redskins. Besides, Ndamukong Suh would just eat Albert for breakfast tomorrow anyway.
