1) Winter Warm-Up
Tickets are on sale now. They’re $40 for fans 16 and over. $15 for fans 5-15. $0 for fans 5 and under. If you have an active military, police or fireman’s ID, you can get 1 free pass (must get in person).
The Warm-Up will be JAN 17-19 @ the Hyatt Regency by the Arch. Extra donations will be required for many of the autograph sessions. When we get a price list, we’ll create a post.
2) Jon Lester
The Cardinals are out on Lester. Reports of a planned meeting surfaced last week, but no meetings are planned with the prized free-agent pitcher and the Cardinals. He will not be joining the rotation to start the 2015 season.
3) Max Scherzer
The Yankees have extended an offer to free-agent Max Sherzer. Or maybe they haven’t. But they’re definitely in the game for the former Detroit Tigers pitcher. And that means that the price tag has gone north of where it stood a week ago.
Sherzer is a former Mizzou player and went to Parkway Central HS in Chesterfield, so his ties to the region are strong. But this is his chance to cash in on free-agency in a big way and will demand a 6 year 135M+ deal.
The Cardinals are most likely out.
