According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Detroit Tigers have traded first baseman Prince Fielder to the Rangers in exchange for second baseman Ian Kinsler.

This deal is not finalized; the details are not yet determined. There could be money involved to try to make this trade more even.
This most likely means that MVP third baseman Miguel Cabrera will be playing first base for the Tigers now, and it is likely that the Tigers will have third base prospect Nick Castellanos playing third base for them next season.
This opens a spot at second base for the Rangers, so that will most likely be filled by Jurickson Profar.
This trade makes sense for both teams. This was an exciting trade, and certainly a nice way to kick off the offseason!
