Auburn collected its 13th verbal commitment for its class of 2012 on Tuesday, landing four-star DT Tyler Nero (6’3″ 285, 4.6) of Escambia County-Atmore, AL. Nero is rated as the No. 15 defensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com.
As a junior, he had 72 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, nine sacks and forced two fumbles. The ESPN.com analysis of Nero says: “Nero is a defensive tackle that looks to give effort to get around the football. He is a kid with good size, though it does seem he could work to add some more good bulk. Displays a solid get-off. He will flash the ability to fire out of his stance…”

Nero picked Auburn over Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Illinois and South Alabama.
