Time to give Raheem Morris and the Bucs props

No matter if your a hater or a kool aid drinker, it is time to admit the obvious; The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the hotter teams in the league. They have now won 4 of their last 5 games going back to the end of last season, and the outlook is nothing but positive. To be objective, there are still some things the Bucs are not doing very well. RUSHING THE PASSER- While the Bucs gathered 4 sacks, one by linebacker Quincy Black that flattened the Panther QB, they failed to put consistent pressure on the QB again. Overall the effort was there however, and that is a big improvement. RUNNING THE FOOTBALL- There simply were not running lanes, especially on the left side of the line. The Bucs rushed for 95 yards, but 45 of those were by QB Josh Freeman. The running backs had 30 carries for 52 yards for a 1.7 yard per carry average. When you look at the Bucs from OTAs to preseason, the concerns were going to be the Wide Receivers. Instead Mike Williams looks to be a steal like no other. So what are the Bucs doing right? JOSH FREEMAN IS BECOMING A DOMINANT PASSER- He is not afraid to take off and run, nor is he shy to throw the ball away. He is accurate with the ball, and the team is behind him 100% as evident by the melee that went on when a Panther hit Freeman in the 3rd period. The Bucs are winning with a simple formula: They are playing good defense, they are taking the ball away, and they are scoring from the Red Zone. Stat Line from the Win over Carolina:
