Time to move on

The Brewers finished off their four-game beatdown by the Cubs with an 11-4 drubbing on Thursday afternoon. Dave Bush took the loss and his record fell to 5-9 on the year. The Cubs were up 11-1 before the Crew plated three runs in the bottom of the ninth.
Look, there’s no reason to dwell on today’s game or this series. It is what it is: the Cubs showed that they are the superior all-around team at this point in time. The came into Miller Park and ripped out the team’s heart on Monday night and then proceeded to embarrass them Tuesday through Thursday. The fans took over the park, the Cubs players made all the plays they needed to and Lou Piniella out managed Ned Yost. It was a series to forget, so we will.
For any Brewers or even Cubs fans that think that the division race is over, you’re dead wrong. There are two full months left in the season and the Brewers have plenty of time to bounce back from this beating and I fully expect them to do so. They travel to Atlanta tonight for a weekend series against the Braves. Yost will send Jeff Suppan, CC Sabathia and Ben Sheets to the mound against the Braves and it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Brewers win at least two of the games, if not sweep the Braves.
