The inactives are out for today's game at Everbank Stadium between the Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars, and here they are.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS: RB Delone Carter, LB Geno Hyaes, C Patrick Lewis, DT Roy Miller, TE Allen Reisner, DE Gerland Rivers, QB Ricky Stanzi
TENNESSEE TITANS: WR Kenny Britt, DE Lavar Edwards, LB Zaviar Gooden, C Kevin Matthews, OT David Stewart, QB Tyler Wilson, CB Khalid Wooten
The big news for Jacksonville is Maurice Jones-Drew is active after being listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. He has, of course, had some big plays against the Titans in the past, though a hamstring is a fun injury to play and be effective through. The Jaguars have also, of course, shown they do not need MJD to run effectively against the Titans.
For the Titans, the biggest name to sit is David Stewart, but I did not expect him to play after not practicing at all this week, even in Friday's limited session. The two notable inactives to me were, first, Mike Martin is up after being listed as questionable, sending Lavar Edwards to the bench. Second, Zaviar Gooden is a healthy scratch after playing most of the snaps for Zach Brown last week. Sitting Gooden is far from clearly wrong in my book, but it's a very curious move. I believe I used the word "spitballing" last week to describe what the Titans were doing, and this move just reinforces my opinion.
Feel free to leave your comments here during today's game. I'll be doing my chiming in on Twitter, so follow and yap at me there if you so desire. Recap after the game, snap report Monday, at least one other post during the week, and maybe more content depending on how much my nieces want me around.
