Titans select RB Jamie Harper as 4th round compensatory pick

After two picks which I consider mediocre, I feel a little bit better about this one, although it’s not a position of great need.

The 233-pound Harper could be what the Titans hoped LeGarrette Blount would be last year – a big back who could move the chains in short-yardage situations.  Harper is said to also have good skills as a pass protector and is an excellent pass receiver, so he should be a good option as a third-down back.  Harper could be a great complementary back to Chris Johnson, which would put Javon Ringer’s status in some jeopardy.
