Titans tickets 33% below average for matchup vs Texans

There will be a changing of the guard this week, as the Tennessee Titans march into Week 8 with a new starting quarterback. Tired of Jake Locker’s inconsistency and constant injury woes, the team has officially decided to move on to rookie Zach Mettenberger at quarterback. The switch under center is the biggest storyline this week out of Tennessee, as the Titans try to right the ship at home against the division rival Houston Texans. While some may view turning to Mettenberger as giving up, it’s actually debatable that the sixth round rookie gives Tennessee their best chance to win moving forward.

A rebirth at quarterback and a solid matchup against a shaky Texans defense adds major value to Titans tickets this week. The average price of Titans vs Texans tickets is currently $81.13 on the secondary market with a get-in price of $8. The average is 33% below the remaining season average for home Titans game this year. Regardless of how this one goes, Titans and Texans fans are getting an insane bargain to see these two AFC South rivals go at it.

Houston does probably have the slight edge going into this one given the fact that they have more playmakers on both sides of the ball. J.J. Watt alone could make life miserable for Mettenberger, while Arian Foster is a clear threat to run all over Tennessee’s weak run defense. Of course, it could easily go the other way, too. Houston’s defense has been pretty bad and could get even worse this week. Stud rookie Jadeveon Clowney is still no lock to return, while inside linebacker Brian Cushing will also be sit out as he rests a sore knee. That could leave extra running lanes open for rookie running back Bishop Sankey. If Sankey can establish the ground game and Mettenberger can avoid Watt, the Titans could have enough balance to send Houston packing and get to 3-5.
