T-Mobile Recap: Obliteration

Bbd
Never in my wildest dreams did I think tonight's game would be so easy. The Celtics rolled over the Heat 106-77.

Glen Davis (23 points, 7-14 FG, 9-11 FT, 8 rebounds) was spectacular in KG's absence. Ray Allen (25 points, 7-9 3FG) was a long range assassin.

Following a 23-23 1st quarter, the Celtics blew this game open with a 21-0 run in the 2nd quarter. Miami went 8 minutes without a basket.

With a 16 point lead at the half, I was a bit concerned we might see a letdown. Wrong. The Celtics rattled off another huge run, this time it was 18-0. Ray Allen drilled 5 threes and tallied 17 points in the quarter.

There was a 16 minute stretch in the 2nd and 3rd quarters where the Celtics outscored Miami 44-8.

The Celtics out-rebounded the Heat 50-33. They held Miami to 38% shooting. Jermaine O'Neal (2 pts, 1-10 FG) was hideous. Q-Bitch (5 points, 2-7 FG) was MINUS 33. Bahahahaha!!!

Credit to Perk (13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks) who came out strong and played tenacious defense on O'Neal.

Tommy Heinsohn did a great job of keeping this game in perspective. He said the Heat will likely play with the same urgency in Game 3 that we saw tonight from the Celtics.

More to come…
