No one messes with Todd Helton's man…ning.
Tuesday, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay told USA Today that, basically, he doesn't regret getting rid of quarterback Peyton Manning two years ago after drafting Andrew Luck.
"We've changed our model a little bit, because we wanted more than one (Super Bowl ring)," Irsay said. "(Tom) Brady never had consistent numbers, but he has three of these. Pittsburgh had two, the Giants had two, Baltimore had two and we had one. That leaves you frustrated."
Suffice it to say, this angered Manning's bro Helton who, in 1994, played football alongside Manning at the University of Tennessee.
“I think the guy, (Irsay) just wants to be famous, so he gets one little shot for somebody to know what his name is," the Colorado Rockies All-Star told The Denver Post. "To me, that’s just classless."
Manning travels back to Indy for the first time Sunday night as a member of the Denver Broncos. No word on whether or not Helton will be with him.
