The Big East weekly football awards are out and while no members of the UConn Huskies were honored as player of the week, there were two members of the team honored in RB Jordan Todman and DT Kendall Reyes.
Both Todman and Reyes were key parts of UConn’s 23-6 win on Saturday night at the Carrier Dome over the Syracuse Orange that kept their Big East title hopes alive.
Todman ran for 130 yards and two touchdowns while Reyes finished with two tackles but also had an interception, forced fumble and a sack. His two turnovers gained helped the Huskies to two scores.
The drive for a Big East title, with some help of course, continues on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m. at Rentschler Field when the Huskies will host the Cincinnati Bearcats. It is the final home game for UConn’s seniors and also would have been the final home game for the late Jasper Howard.
