Tom Brady showed the NFL on Thursday night, why again, he’s the best quarterback in all of football.
Opening the season in defense of their world title, Brady picked apart the Pittsburgh Steelers to the tune of four touchdowns on 25 of 32 passes for 288 yards, as the Patriots won 28-21.
At one point, Brady completed 19 straight passes, and consistently found Julian Edelman, who caught 11 balls, and Rob Gronkowski, who scored three times. Free agent acquisition Scott Chandler caught the other touchdown pass from Brady.
In an offseason dominated by legal battles, character assassinations, and fan duels regarding Deflategate, Brady took the field after a shaky offseason and was absolutely masterful before a sellout and raucous crowd, who chanted “Brady! Brady! Brady!” during one drive.
Tom Brady was on a mission to win his fourth Super Bowl last season, and right now, he looks ever so determined to get a 5th title, and silence all the critics.
Thursday night was a heck of a start towards that next Super Bowl.
