Tony Parker (25 pts, 8 assists, 7 reb) killed the Celtics all night…until the final :50 of this game. That's when he missed four consecutive free throws. Throw in a Big Baby jumper with 5 seconds left and you get a 80-77 Celtics win.
After a rusty first quarter, KG bounced back with a vintage 3rd quarter where he shot 5-5.. His final numbers: 15 minutes, 10 pts, 4 reb. It must have killed him to sit on the bench for the entire 4th quarter of this nail-biter.
Rondo finished with 16 pts (8-19 FG), 12 assists and 3 steals. Mikki Moore played his best game as a Celtic – 4 pts, 8 reb and 1 foul in 20 minutes.
Paul Pierce shot a wretched 3-16 and finished with 9 pts. He did contribute on the boards – 12.
Bottom line – this was a great win.
