Tony Parker likes the Spurs’ title chances next season

The offseason for the San Antonio Spurs has been relatively quite. Aside from adding guard Nando De Colo, the team stood pat re-signing players from last season and appear to be bringing mostly the same crew next season.

And while many feel the Spurs still need to tweak the team to contend with the other power teams in the NBA, the fact the team is remaining the same is fine with Tony Parker (via le10sport.com).

"We kept the same team and there will still be a good chance to go far. We were not very far from the title last season. I hope everyone has worked hard and I know they will all be motivated to do at least as well as last year. As usual in San Antonio, we play to win the title and we will do everything to go as far as possible."

There is a lot to be said about team chemistry and bringing back the same team makes sense. As TP said, the team was close to heading to the NBA Finals but that was last season. Last season, the Lakers didn't have Dwight Howard, and the Thunder are developing more team chemistry. In other words, it's just going to be much tougher for the Spurs to claim title number five.

Granted the Lakers don't have the team chemistry, like the Spurs do, however, San Antonio is still undersized. The Lakers, Grizzlies, and Thunder all present size disadvantages for the Spurs.

Add the fact the Spurs haven't gone after big men in the offseason and losing out on Andray Blatche didn't help either.

What do you have to say Spurs fans? Do you agree with TP about the Spurs' title chances next season or has the championship window been shut for San Antonio?
