Back in March, I added Google Analytics, which tracks your site traffic, as well as the eyes that see individual stories and how they got here, so I thought it would be fun to check out which of our stories written this year got the most eyes to check them out. This is much better than a lengthy year long review, if you ask me.
5. Position in the Spotlight: Cincinnati: Remember this feature? It’s not dead, don’t worry, and we will come back when Steve and I have more time. A couple of links and interested Cincinnati readers pieced through my dissertation on Reds Shortstops.
4. Jon Rauch is a Walking Ad for Sheraton: My piece on Rauch’s frightening neck tattoo seemed to sate the internet’s desire to look at Jon Rauch’s frightening neck tattoo.
3. Ross Rebagliati wants to get high: Deadspin gave the Times a link to this piece, and apparently everyone loves reading about former Olympians with political aspirations.
2. Week 17 AFC playoff scenarios – Wild Card: Proving, perhaps, that NFL is King, Steve’s write up on the playoff picture written mere days ago already rocketed up to #2 on our list
1, Position in the Spotlight: Cleveland: And this is the other reason that the Position in the Spotlight feature needs to come back. Although, unfortunately, we are out of cities in Ohio.
And now, just for kicks, how about the top 10 Google keywords?
10. Jon Rauch neck tattoo
9. The Victoria Times Randy Johnson
8 John Rauch tattoo
7. I hate the Vikings
6 Eric Devendorf
5. Cooper Manning
4. Percy Harvin Madden 2010 ratings
3. Cooper Manning wife
2. Erin Andrews age
1. Victoria Times
I am a little frightened by #4, but other than that, no real surprises I don’t think. But that’s it. That was the year that was the Victoria Times. Thanks for reading. Good night, Ohio!
