Top Ten MMA Fight Teams: #7 – Kings MMA

Mixed martial arts is about as solitary of a sport as you can find – once that cage door closes, a fighter has no one else to depend on but himself.  It is just him (or her) versus their opponent, mano a mano.  But while the sport is not a team-based one, that doesn’t mean a fighter does it all on his own – he/she depends greatly on their fight team to train them, coach them, encourage them, push them to their limits.  But what if MMA was a team sport (like it was in the old IFL)?  What fight team would be the most successful?  

To try to answer that question, we are ranking the top ten MMA fight teams, based on the current fighters on the team.  Next up #7: Kings MMA

The Chute Boxe Academy in Brazil is legendary, unleashing onto the world The Spider, Shogun, and The Axe Murderer, to name a few.  So it should come as no surprise that when Chute Boxe coach and legendary fighter Rafael ‘Master’ Cordeiro (pictured above) and Wanderlei Silva left the academy and started their own gym, it would become successful.  Kings MMA has some of the best talent in mixed martial arts today, and it is not just “legends” riding on their reputations with nothing left in their gas tanks – Kings top four fighters listed above are all within striking distance (excuse the pun) of UFC gold.
