With only two ranked teams playing tomorrow, we could be in for some big statistical games as #8 Gonzaga plays at Tennessee against the Volunteers and #4 Baylor takes on John Brown.
- Al Freeman – Baylor – Guard; The junior Bears guard is coming off of a game against Jackson State in which he scored a season-high 19 points on 5 of 8 shooting from beyond the arc. Freeman seems to have the immediate hot hand for the Bears and is coming off four straight games of double digit scoring. On the season, the junior is averaging around 12 points per game to go along with three rebounds and one assist per game.
- Nigel Williams-Goss – Gonzaga – Guard; An integral part of the first time the Zags’ program has started 10-0 since joining the NCAA in 1958, Williams-Goss has matured into the leader the Zags need. The junior is averaging about 10 more minutes per game than any other player on the roster while running the offense for Gonzaga. On the season, Williams-Goss is averaging 13.4 points per game, 5 rebounds per game and almost 5 assists per game. A game against the Volunteers could be a statistical dream for the Happy Valley, Oregon native.
- Ricky Roberts – John Brown – Guard; If John Brown has a chance against the Baylor Bears than senior guard Ricky Roberts will have to show up and show out. The Dallas, Texas native is averaging 14.8 points per game, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists as the best player on the John Brown basketball team. Roberts rarely shoots the 3 (7-21 on the season) so in order to be successful he will need to consistently drive and dish to Jake Caudle (43% three point shooter)in order to keep the Bears defense honest.
