Torts, Rangers Talk Game 4 Loss to Caps & Lowlights (4/20/11)

Here’s John Tortorella’s post game presser…

Rick Carpiniello at the Rangers Report has these quotes…

Chris Drury on the team:

“I think this team, all year, has shown that (we) are a gutsy group of guys. We don’t give in. We will take it one day at a time, one game at a time and try to go to Washington and get a big win.”

Henrik Lundqvist on the final goal being a freak play:

“I don’t know what to say. I have to look at it. Like I said, I tried to just freeze it and nobody’s there. Gaby, I think, tried to put it behind the net and it hit their guy. I don’t know what to say. It’s just really frustrating.”

Brandon Dubinsky:

“Without a doubt, it hurts. No question about it. That being said, we can’t build a time machine and go back. We’ve got to try and find a way and get a big win in their building and get the series back on our side. Obviously we’ve got to win a game in their building to win the series, so we have a great opportunity on Saturday.”

Marc Staal:

“We’ve been good all year long in third periods. Just a few mistakes and they were in the back of our net and they got back into the game. I thought we battled hard, we played hard in overtime, we just weren’t able to bury chances. They got one on us.”

Brian Boyle:

“I’m not looking for three in a row. We’re looking for one. We just want to win Game 5. Tonight will be tough to be positive. We’re going to dwell on it, and I think that’s part of it. If you’re not a little upset about what happened there’s something wrong with you.”

Here’s the lowlights…
