Lance Stephenson and company did all they could, but they could not overcome the tough Pittsburgh Panthers Monday night, falling 74-71. The Cats had a chance to tie, but a Larry Davis shot from just inside half court didn’t fall, and the Bearcats dropped to 2-1 in the Big East. Pittsburgh improves to 3-0 and has impressive back to back wins against UC and Syracuse. If they can stay healthy and keep scoring, they could be a tough team to deal with. More tomorrow.
