We’ve been hearing that this weekend might be a huge one for Ohio State recruiting, but it seems that there’s always one guy who wants to get in ahead of the game. Luckily for the Buckeyes, that person is Elyria’s Tracy Sprinkle, who verballed to Ohio State and became the ninth member of the 2012 class today.
Sprinkle, a 6′ 5″ defensive end who is ranked as a three star recruit by most of the national services, was offered by Coach Meyer on his visit to campus earlier in the month, and decided not to wait before joining the scarlet and gray. He also held offers from Michigan State, Arkansas, Kentucky, Arizona State, Pittsburgh, and Penn State.
As a junior, he amassed 80 tackles, 8 sacks, and 25 QB hurries… not too shabby for just having moved to the defense earlier in the season.
Video and more after the jump.
Welcome to the Buckeye Family, Tracy!!
