Lots going on today so here’s a quick rundown of things I missed…
– A Rangers spokesperson confirmed that Artem Anisimov is expected to be on the ice Saturday. (NHL.com)
– Brandon Prust on the passing of Derek Boogaard (via NHL.com)…
“He was a big boy, and he was well liked in our dressing room. We all miss him. We’ve been talking about him. I definitely liked him on my team. He was a great teammate. We’re going to miss him.”
– After experiencing pain in both of his legs last season, including having to miss five games with a stress fracture, Brandon Dubinsky has switched to a softer skate boot and quit running. (The Blueshirts Blog)
…first I’m hearing of this. Lots of injuries popping up out of no where.
– Wojtek Wolski on rededicating himself this off-season (via Rangers Rants)…
“The feeling last year was that I was very disappointed. I’d rather work hard all summer than be disappointed. I don’t want to have that feeling again.”
– John Tortorella confirmed that 30-32 players would make the trip to Europe. (Blue Notes)
– The Rangers will wear their dark blue heritage uniforms for some home games this season but without the 85th anniversary patch. (Blue Notes)
