So you want to know NOW if McCoy is the real deal? Or if Price is going to be a starter in ’10? Well to find out, we’re going to have to go back to an old agreement with Pewter Report’s Scott Reynolds, whom I promised I would never copy his work or plagiarize his work verbatim, and because of this I could REPORT what PR has written, in my own words. The PR people watched the linemen go at each other one on one, and here is how it went down: Kyle Moore VS Jeremy Trueblood – Result: Trueblood barely won both at the last second. Brian Price vs Davin Joeseph– Price used his speed on the first attempt and got around Joseph, but Davin held his ground on the next attempt. Result: Tie 1-1 Roy Miller VS Jeff Faine– Tie, with Faine totally shutting down Miller on the first one, but got beat outside on the second attempt. 1-1 Gerald McCoy vs Jeremy Zuttah– McCoy completely took Zuttah to the cleaners on both attempts. McCoy 2-0 Styles G White vs Donald Penn– Penn took the first, and was taking the second when White persevered and won. Tie 1-1 Michael Bennett vs Demar Dotson– Dotson shut down both of Bennett’s moves, an inside and outside. 2-0 Dotson. Dre Moore vs Jonathan Compass– Moore took Compass on both attempts. The heavyweight clash, Ryan Sims vs Keydrick Vincent tied with Sims winning an inside move, then getting pancaked on the second attempt. Price was given another shot, this time at Compas, with whom he easily beat. Price is showing he is a fast 3 technique guy himself! Yes Practice is Practice, but it’s all we have to go on for now, and Price and McCoy, so far at least, look like they could be the real deal. Bring on the Preseason!
