Yesterday, former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Trent Cole signed a two-year, $16 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts. Cole spent all 10 years of his career with Philadelphia before being cut recently. Cole brings with him a hefty career sack total of 85.5 and 569 total tackles in his long career.
Joining Cole in Indianapolis will be San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore. Gore signed a three-year, $12 million deal and will likely become the team’s new starting running back. Gore has 11,073 career rushing yards and 64 touchdowns in his 10-year career with San Francisco.
The Philadelphia Eagles had originally been thought to be the team that would sign Gore, but at the last second, Gore had a change of heart and picked Indianapolis. The Colts will now look to replace Reggie Wayne as they have signed former Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson.
