Apparently Trent Whitfield is leaving the Providence Bruins.
Boston didn't want to re-sign Whitfield, a sign that they might be moving to a younger roster, and apparently no one else in the NHL wanted the career AHLer either. Whitfield signed a one year contract with Bolzano HC of the EBEL (Austrian Hockey League).
So yeah, if you're one of the three people who cared about Whitfield, then I'm sorry.
