Trot Nixon said he would like to rejoin the Red Sox organization during yesterday’s Hot Stove Cool Music event:
“I still have Theo’s cell phone number,’’ Nixon said. “I could be calling him down the road to badger him for a job in the minor leagues. I’d love to be a part of the organization again someday.’’
Trot would make a great coach if he could pass along his grit and determination to players, so long as he didn’t pass on his ability to land on the DL.
