Tuesday Links – Erin Andrews Is On Twitter, UConn Women Win 71st Straight, Big Ten All-Conference Teams, & Girls Making Out

I wasn’t expecting Hollywood to make a movie about my life this early, but just like they say, “sex sells.” For some reason they got the nerdy kid from Knocked Up to play my role when I explicitly asked for Vin Diesel. People tell me I drive like him.

  • I usually save the top link for the biggest news of the day, and… that doesn’t change today. Erin Andrews is now on Twitter. Rey Maualuga can barely contain himself. [via Guyism]
  • File this in the “not surprised” column. The UConn women’s basketball team won its 71st straight game last night, beating Notre Dame 59-44. The real question: would you even know if ESPN wasn’t talking non-stop about it? The answer is undoubtedly “no,” because I’m sure you had no idea that the Penn State women’s volleyball team has won 102 straight games matches. And better uniforms.

  • I missed this yesterday (seriously, how many times have I said that on this site?), but Big Al takes a look at the trade bringing CB Chris Houston from Atlanta to Detroit. I like the move (the Lions only gave up a sixth round pick), but I wouldn’t be too optimistic. There’s probably a good reason Atlanta went shopping for cornerbacks this offseason.
  • The Big Ten has announced its all-conference selections for this season. UM Hoops reports that DeShawn Sims is on the second team, while Manny Harris is on the third team. Manny was also honored with the distinguished National Underperforming Player of the Year award, chosen by yours truly. Stay in school Manny, you need it.

Rob’s Highlight of the Day

Today’s highlight is the next chapter in my “Derrick Rose for 2011 Slam Dunk Contest” campaign. Enjoy, unless your name is Zach Randolph. [via Ball Don’t Lie]
