In Philip Montgomery’s debut season, Tulsa won six games and played Virginia Tech in the Independence Bowl — its first bowl appearance since 2012.
At 20-11 (12-6 American), Tulsa’s basketball team slipped into the 2015-16 NCAA Tournament as one of the Last Four In, and will face Michigan on Wednesday night for a play-in game. It’s just the second time the Golden Hurricane have gone dancing since the 2003 season.
