Jon Lester still has yet to earn his first win of the season as he lost to the Twins in the first game at Target Field. He threw 107 pitches, only 59 for strikes and gave up 4 earned runs on 9 hits in 5 innings. Atchison came in relief and had his name printed in the record books for serving up the first home run in the stadium’s history to Kubel in the 7th inning. V-Mart continued to have problems throwing runners out as the Twins stole 3 bases off of him today.
Scutaro had two hits batting lead-off today and Ortiz had a double with a RBI. Beltre kept his hitting streak alive but the Sox had a hard time scoring runs off of Twins starter Carl Pavano.
