CBS SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS 2010 NCAA WOMEN’S GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS ON SATURDAYCBS Sports presents CHAMPIONSHIPS OF THE NCAA with the 2010 NCAA WOMEN’S GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS on Saturday, May 8 (3:00-5:00 PM, ET; taped 4/22-24) from the Stephen O’Connel Center at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Florida will compete on its home floor for a first ever NCAA title in the sport, while UCLA returns to the site of its first championship in 1997 looking to win the Bruins’ sixth title in the last 14 years. Utah, women’s gymnastics’ original dynasty team, Alabama, who won it all in 2002, as well as Stanford and Oklahoma, both seeking their first NCAA team championship in the sport, also compete for the crown. This premier national short course off road racing organization features 800 horsepower purpose built trucks racing door-to-door on motocross style tracks. Featuring action from Round Four in Surprise, Ariz., the mile-long course at Speedworld Off Road Park features challenging terrain and action at every turn. Carl Renezeder, the defending champion in both the Pro 2 and Pro 4 unlimited truck classes, faces stiff competition from Rick Huseman, Ricky Johnson and Rob MacCachren as he races to defend his pair of titles. Cameron Steele, Ken Stout and Rob Klepper call the action for CBS Sports. After series favorites James Stewart and Chad Reed suffered injuries, the young guns of the series battled for the championship. Rookie Ryan Dungey claimed the title, becoming only the second rookie to win the crown joining legendary Jeremy McGrath. CBS Sports’ Bryan Lilley serves as coordinating producer.
