In case you missed it, check out the move that Tyreke Evans put on Ron Artest during the early stages of last night’s game:
Now that is a hell of a move.
During the T’Wolves game on Sunday, I was talking to super-Kings fan (Jason) about how Tyreke Evans needs to learn from the Tony Parker spin move. Usually when he spins, he’s a little off balance in the lane and it either results in him getting fouled, him putting up a semi-awkward shot inside or him finding an open man on the perimeter.
But watch this move again and check out his footwork. It’s perfect on this play. Most guys would put their right foot down to balance themselves after the spin. The problem with that is it would be the third step on the move and you’d most likely be called for a travel unless your name is LeBron James or Kobe Bryant. However, Tyreke is so strong that he’s able to take all of the momentum and keep his left foot down to plant off the spin and go straight up. Not a lot of guys have the coordination to do that.
I believe this is one of the moves in the game that caused Kobe Bryant to describe him as a “grown ass man” after the game.
By the way, my favorite part of this play other than the move is Francisco Garcia’s reaction. He either went into convulsions or didn’t know what to do with his hands.
